Will and Catie’s eclectic low-country wedding near Savannah, Georgia was one of my favorites! It was such an honor to celebrate them and their 16 years together.
These two met at a restaurant in Darien, Georgia where Catie worked. Will had some friends that worked there, and once they met, they hit it off. As a result, what they expected to be a summer romance turned into a 16 year relationship. In addition to their love, one of my favorite parts of their wedding was that Will performed throughout the reception. He’s a talented musician and it was a really cool touch to the day.
This fun-loving couple based their wedding colors and decor off their china pattern. And, I am LOVING it. The wedding was full of color, fun, and love. Their stationary even included the china pattern and I was thrilled to use it to photograph the bridal details. The colors and small details are what made this wedding so eclectic. I loved the bridesmaids’ emerald green dresses and the groomsmens’ blue suits. These colors brought a deep color tone that was a perfect mix. Their officiant was a family friend and he even played up the deep colors with his fuchsia suit!
The location they chose for this eclectic low-country wedding was a private estate that belongs to a family friend. This venue had the perfect low-country environment. First, the huge oak trees with spanish moss hanging made the most incredible backdrop for photos. As much as I love Savannah, I have never seen so much spanish moss like these outskirts of the city had. In Addition to the moss, the ceremony was held on the dock by the marsh and water. As you can see in the images, it was such a dream. I love the low-country because of the Spanish moss, the water, and the marsh. Needless to say, their wedding day was perfect.
Not only were the visuals perfect of this eclectic low-country wedding, so were the people. One my favorite things to photograph on wedding days is the emotions of family and guests. Candid moments are my personal favorite. In fact, the love that surrounded these two was just overwhelming. Their friends and family were so happy for this couple and it was such a beautiful wedding day.
Overall, this wedding was not only a joy to photograph, but also to witness. I could feel the love from their friends and family and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to capture the special moments of their eclectic low-country wedding. Will and Catie, I wish you two the best and I can’t wait to visit again!
