Juliette Chapel and Vezalay Mountain Venue Wedding

Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Nutt!

It’s time to share part 2 of Joe and Jaime’s beautiful wedding weekend in Dahlonega. If you missed Part 1, you can click here. Part 2 is going to be all about their Juliette Chapel and Vezalay Mountain Venue wedding day. Yes, the day after these two eloped, they had a full on wedding day so their friends and family could join in on the celebration.

If you read the blog post about their elopement day, you know that the date 2-12 meant a lot to these two, but the venue they wanted wasn’t available. Luckily, it was available for 2-13. And honestly, it made for a perfect weekend.

Joe + Jamie’s Vision for their Juliette Chapel and Vezalay Mountain Venue Wedding

Jaime’s vision for their wedding was to say their vows in a little chapel, celebrate and dance with their closest friends and family, and have a GREAT time doing it. She wanted a mix of dried florals, ferns, and feathers. Plus, some edgy looks with her fringe wedding dress AND fringe leather jacket. We described her wedding style as Boho Western. It definitely has a ‘Yellowstone’ feel to it. It’s really the perfect mix of her and Joe.

Jaime searched for chapels throughout Georgia and Juliette Chapel in Dahlonega was her favorite out of all of them. And, you can see why as you scroll through the photos. It’s full of beautiful natural light, has character to it, and such a cool vibe with all the wood on the outside of the chapel. Juliette chapel was the PERFECT spot for their vows. However, they were needing a bit of a bigger space for their reception.

As they went to look at Juliette Chapel, they stumbled across the street to Vezalay Mountain Venue. They met with the owners and took a look around and thought it would be the PERFECT spot for their reception. Plus, it had mountain views which was important to Joe. However, the chapel at Vezalay had a different look and feel to it and that’s not what Jaime was looking for. So, like all good marriages, they compromised. They decided to book Juliette Chapel AND Vezalay Mountain Venue. They would say their vows at the chapel and then go across the street for their reception. It was the perfect combination.

THE WEDDING DAY STORY

Jaime and Joe opted out of a wedding party since they had a small guest list. But, they did include their kids. Jaime’s daughter, Ryan, was her maid of honor and Joe’s son, Conner, was his Best man. Since Jaime didn’t have bridesmaid, she invited some of her closest friends to come get ready with her. She got them robes and still got the full bridesmaid experience during the getting ready part of the day.

Jaime and Joe decided to have a first look so they could have a private moment together before the ceremony and get out some of the jitters before saying their vows. We had the first look in front of the chapel, followed by a few portraits after. Then, it was time for the ceremony. Their friends and family gathered inside of Juliette Chapel and you could see and feel the overwhelming happiness everyone had for these two.

Once the wedding ceremony ended, we took family portraits and then the went across the street to Vezalay Mountain Venue. Jaime had a few touch ups and added her leather jacket and hat to her look before we started bride and groom portraits.

Then it was time to celebrate at the wedding reception inside Vezalay. They had their first dance and then sat down to eat dinner. As Joe helped Jaime into her chair at the sweetheart table, he may have caught the bouquet on fire. (haha!) Don’t worry, I photographed straight through it. The venue actually had a ‘no open flame’ policy but one of the vendors didn’t know and lit the candles. Oops. Luckily, Joe put the fire out quickly and we immediately blew out the candles.

After dinner, it was time for cake cutting and toasts. Then, dancing started. They ended the night with a sparkler exit and spent their honeymoon in the mountains for the next few days. It was the perfect ending to the perfect wedding weekend.
