This year has been full of maternity sessions and I’ve been loving it. A lot of my maternity sessions have been past bride and grooms. But, these three were new clients and I’m SO glad they chose me for their Maternity Session at Meadowlark 1939.
Alexandra emailed me asking for me to take her maternity photos but she wasn’t sure where she wanted to do them. I gave her a few options and ultimately decided on Meadowlark 1939 in Griffin, Georgia. I was not surprised because this place is one of my favorite venues! Everywhere you turn, there’s a beautiful spot for a photo. We also talked about outfit options and what to look for when shopping for an outfit. Then, she asked me if it would be okay for them to bring their dog. I’m pretty sure I did a legit happy dance because I love dogs, and I love when people bring them to their photo sessions! They are part of the family, after all.
We met at Meadowlark shortly before golden hour. We started the session as soon as we walked up to the driveaway. The light was shining through the trees so perfectly and created some of my favorite images from the entire maternity session. It’s odd for that to happen in the first spot.
Then we walked through the rest of the property and stopped every few steps along the way because I couldn’t get enough of the venue. My favorite locations were the driveway, the gate in front of the house, and the greenhouse. Those are always my go-to stops when I take photos at Meadowlark 1939.
As we walked, we got to know each other. We talked about all the excitement that will be coming their way once they welcome their new baby into their lives. I love getting to know my clients a little during their sessions.
