HAMU Branding Session in Newnan, Georgia

Hair stylist throwing foils for a branding photoshoot

MEET CHELSEA

Meet Chelsea. Owner of Chelsea Freeman Beauty Co. She’s a local entrepreneur here in Newnan, Georgia. She works out of Atlanta, Georgia for a lot of bridal hair and make up for weddings, but she does cut, color, and custom hair extensions at a salon here in Newnan. If you’ve been here a while, you may recognize her from a Canyon Elopement photoshoot we did a little over a year ago. When she reached out about a branding session in Newnan, Georgia, I was READY to showcase her personality and brand aesthetic through my lens.

Chelsea and I have actually known each other for years. We’ve been able to work a couple of weddings together so I can say from experience that she’s AMAZING at what she does. Not only is she one of the best hair stylist and make-up artist around, she also provides education to help others succeed. I love a good ‘community over competition’ business owner.

THE BRANDING SESSION IN NEWNAN, GEORGIA

For her Branding session in Newnan, Georgia, I wanted to be sure we did more than just some headshots. Chelsea is obviously gorgeous (just look at her!), so I wanted to be sure to show her personality and the aesthetic of her brand and business on top of just headshots. We talked about what she wanted to showcase – foils, extensions, make-up application, and the hair products she sells.

We chose through different outfits that were flattering and showcased her personal style, and she nailed it. From head to toe. We also created a pinterest board together to make sure we were on the same page for inspiration. After she pulled out all the props for the session, we got to work in the studio. Chelsea also wanted to showcase her awesome tattoos on her fingers: “Shhh… Be Beautiful”. Branding sessions are so much fun, especially with your friends. So I’m thankful she came out to my Newnan studio and trusted me to capture these for her.
