Roswell Mill Engagement Session

Like a lot of couples in our generation, Michaela and Landon met on Tinder. One their first date, Landon drove to Michaela’s college town and took her out for drinks and dancing at a local bar called “The Pub”. These two love to be outdoors, so as we were discussing locations for their session, we decided on Roswell Mill. Their Roswell Mill Engagement session was SO MUCH FUN!

A Little About Landon and Michaela

I personally connect with these two a lot. They love netflix, movie nights with beer, hiking, friendly competition, and laughing together. I love being able to connect with couples and it makes it easy when we have similar hobbies.

They are getting married in October and Michaela told me how excited she is that her and Landon get to do this adventure together. I love that. It’s obvious to me that these two are best friends.

Their Roswell Mill Engagement Session

Since they love hiking and being outdoors, we chose Roswell Mill for their engagement session. This was my first time at Roswell Mill but it was really cool. There were so many textures and colors to play with here. From the stone, to the brick, to the waterfall, we had plenty of backdrops to work with.

Landon and Michaela met me in the parking lot where I handed them each a beer to start the session. Since the lighting was still a little harsh, it was the perfect time for a nice cold beer and to just chat with each other before we started taking photos. Once we finished up with the beer, we headed down into the mill area for photos.

We started from one side and worked our way to the other, hitting all the good lighting and as many background textures and colors as we could. We stopped for an outfit change before we made it to the beautiful waterfall. These two trusted me to get the candid look they love in photos while having fun. Plus, they let me do some creative things with film, blurs, and hands. It was a perfect session.

I am so excited to capture Michaela and Landon’s wedding in a couple of weeks. I can’t wait to watch them share their vows and become husband and wife. I know it’s going to be the perfect day for them!
