MEET MIKE + ASHLEY

Ashely and Mike’s Charming Southern Wedding near Newnan Georgia was such a fun day. Ashley and Mike have a classic golfer meets girl story. They met during a golf tournament. He was the golfer and she was the cart girl. And, they made sure that part of their story was sprinkled in their wedding. As you scroll, you’ll see their favors on the table were little golf balls in a globe.

Ashley works in event sales at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn. And, while Old Edwards is a beautiful place, that wasn’t the vision she had for her wedding day. I LOVE it when couples really throw their personality into their wedding and do what THEY want. I have to say, Ashley and Mike did just that.

THEIR CHARMING SOUTHERN WEDDING

Ashley’s vision for her wedding was to have an open field for the ceremony and then a LONG farmhouse table under cafe lights to celebrate and eat dinner afterwards. It was romantic but fun, and their wedding really let their personality shine through.

They planned their Charming Southern Wedding near Newnan, Georgia where they invited a group of family and friends to join them as they said their vows. People gathered and celebrated them. After the wedding ceremony, we went up the road to Gregg’s Farm and got some beautiful portraits during golden hour. We started in a field of taller grass right by a few peach trees. We made our way to the trees and then finished at the perfect ‘fall’ tree. The colors were changing and this tree was so bright and vibrant.

THE CHARMING SOUTHERN WEDDING RECEPTION

After the ceremony and portraits of their Charming Southern Wedding, it was time to eat. They had red velvet waffles with fried chicken. It was so unique for wedding food and equally as delicious. Everyone gathered at the long farmhouse table under the cafe lights right as the sun set. It made for a beautiful dinner and pretty cool photos.

After dinner, dances, and the cake cutting, it was time to dance the night away. They made a very large bonfire and gathered around to spend time together. Ashley changed into and INCREDIBLE bridal jumper that was all lace so she could dance the night away with her friends and family. It was a perfect celebration for these two. And I’m so grateful to have been a part of it.
