Callanwolde Fine Arts Wedding – Atlanta, GA

Leah & Paul • 2/28/21 Callanwolde Fine Arts Center Wedding • Atlanta, Georgia

ABOUT THE COUPLE:

Leah is a dancer and an amazing dance teacher! I know that from experience. Paul works as an RN and you can tell he enjoys helping others. They are so kind and it was so clear they were made for each other. On their wedding day, they are surrounded by so much love and support.

CALLANWOLDE FINE ARTS WEDDING VENUE

Callanwolde Fine Arts Center is a beautiful wedding venue in Atlanta, Georgia with a German/European style architecture that is jaw dropping. It was the perfect wedding venue for these two to get married.

PRE-CEREMONY DETAILS

Leah’s dress was so beautiful and her veil was her mom’s veil from her wedding! I love that! There is a room attached to the bridal suite that had a ballet barre in it – which called for having some fun with bridal dance photos.

The first look was one of the best parts of the day. Callanwolde has this incredible staircase with these beautifully designed windows, so it was no surprise when Paul & Leah wanted to have their first look there. Their reaction made it even more special.

THE WEDDING CEREMONY

Since this was a Jewish Wedding, they met with their parents and their 2 witnesses in the Library for a private signing of the ketubah before the wedding. Then it was time for their beautiful ceremony.

Courtney from A Peachy Keen Wedding did an amazing job designing their Chuppah for the ceremony. Beautiful floral arrangements climbed up the sides of the Chuppah and there was a walkway of white flower petals leading to it. The Tallit on the Chuppah was from Leah’s parents’ wedding. I’m a sucker for sentimental details.

Leah’s parents walked her down the aisle and was covered with her mom’s veil. When starting the ceremony, they circled each other. They drank their wine and had the Seven blessings from their bridesmaids & groomsmen. Paul broke the glass right before their kiss. It was a beautiful and perfect Jewish Ceremony.

After Yichud, we took their family formal photos and bride & groom photos before the reception started.

THE WEDDING RECEPTION

Their wedding reception was SO MUCH FUN. After they were announced as Mr & Mrs to their guests, they shared their first dance followed by the father & bride dance and the mother & groom dance. Then, they cut their beautiful cake, and said toasts before my personal favorite part of the reception, The Horah. If you’ve never witnessed The Horah in person, you’re missing out! There was so much great energy in the room and it was SO FUN to see Leah & Paul up in their chairs in the air, followed by all their parents. The rest of the reception was full of dancing and love from all their friends and family.

The night ended with their grand exit where the guests tossed flower petals at the couple as the left the wedding venue.

It was a perfect day for a perfect couple and I’m thankful I got to play a part in their special day. They are incredible humans and I’m lucky to have had the chance to get to know them! I’m also excited to continue to get to know them through our dance classes!
