Braves Suntrust Park Stadium – Announcing Baby Bush | Atlanta, Georgia

Ashley and Kevin have a special announcement to make…  They will be welcoming a baby in October of 2019! I had so much fun with this shoot, and can’t wait to share the details with my SAPPY family!

Our Story:

I am lucky enough to call Ashley my cousin, and even luckier to call her a friend.  Out of all of our cousins, we are closest in age. Through we didn’t grow up attached at the hip, we always longed to spend more time together, and this really became a huge part of the special bond we share today.  We love to celebrate each other’s milestones and be there to support one another.

So, naturally, when she invited me to play a part in their special announcement, I was overjoyed.

Though Ashley and I have many different interests, we still have so many things in common.  One of those things is our love for Braves Baseball. This shared history and passion made this shoot extra special in so many ways, and I am thrilled to have been a part of telling this new chapter in Ashley and Kevin’s story.

Their Story:

Ashley and Kevin met when Ashley was in college for her Public Relations Degree.  They actually went on their first date ten years ago, this month!

On that first date, a song about lemons came on…  and the experience of listening to that song together really stuck with them,  so much so, that the two shared a lemon themed engagement shoot! I just knew that we needed to celebrate this piece of their love story with a few lemon themed photos!

The Next Chapter:

When Ashley called to tell me that she was pregnant, I definitely wasn’t expecting that news. We were out to lunch, so I told her I would have to call her back when we left (She hadn’t broken the news to me yet) and so I called her as soon as we got in the car…  she told me immediately, and I must have screamed for three or four blocks!

That’s when she asked if we could set up the session, and I was on the verge of tears because I am just so happy for them, and I am so excited to have a new member of the family!

I just know that Ashley and Kevin will make excellent parents.  As a part of their family, I have had the pleasure and joy of seeing them with surrounded by their loved ones, and the love that they share is unparalleled.  Ashley and Kevin are both so kind, so patient, and so full of joy that I truly can not imagine any two people more fit to be parents.

About the Shoot:

Ashley and Kevin are huge Braves fans (No, they really LOVE Braves Baseball.  If you don’t believe me, click here!), so it was natural that we shot their session at the Battery Atlanta at SunTrust Park.

Ashley and Kevin are beyond excited to share this news with their friends and family, but they are also ecstatic to announce that their baby will be born in October… which is known as Choptober in the baseball world. So the theme of the shoot was ‘Due in Choptober’!

On the day of their shoot, we met up at the Atlanta Battery to start the session. Ashley and Kevin brought props for their announcement, and we worked our way around the battery for a few photos.

My favorite props were their jerseys! They had special jerseys made that say ‘Mommy’ and ‘Daddy’, numbers 20 and 19, spelling out the year that the baby will be born!   Of course, they also needed a cute little Braves onesie for the baby. I can only imagine how special this will be for their sweet little baby to look back at one day!

After we finished with our photos around the stadium, we met for our appointment inside. We started at the dugout and worked our way around to where their season ticket holder seats are located. It was a surreal experience to have the stadium all to ourselves!
