Newnan Engagement Session | Joe + Jaime

This Newnan Engagement photography session is a very special one to me. This session is of my best friend and her fiance. And I’m so honored to photograph this special milestone in their life.

Meet The Couple

Jaime is a true Southern California girl. She moved to Georgia about 9 years ago and now, she’s fallen in love with a true Country Man. It’s the perfect ‘Cali gone Country’ love story.

Jaime is fun loving, edgy, hilarious, and incredibly gorgeous. She’s modeled for me a few times before. Especially closer to the beginning of my career. But now, it’s her turn to get married for real and taking her photos this time felt so different. When someone models for me, I’m taking photos for my brand or my content. But when I photograph someone’s love story, I photograph it based on the couple. I want to capture that genuine connection between the two while also creating engagement images that they love and feel comfortable in. But, with Jaime’s personality, it was so simple to capture those moments between these two.

Joe is a more quiet man. He’s hardworking, kind, owns his own business, and reminds me a lot of my family. He’s a true southern gentleman and you can tell his roots are from around here. I love the way he loves Jaime. You can see the love on his face every time he looks over at her. And although he’s quiet, once you get the chance to really know him and see his personality shine, you can see how perfectly these two are matched.

Location for their Newnan Engagement Photography Session

Jaime and Joe had a specific vision for their Newnan Engagement Photography Session. And that vision was an EPIC spot. Well, winter in Georgia can make that a little challenging. We discussed places like Providence Canyon, Blue Ridge Mountains, and other nature and adventurous locations. But nothing seemed to be the ‘right’ spot for them. Luckily, Joe has a good bit of hunting land, and we were able to utilize that. The land had a similar look to it as Arabia Mountain. However, it was closer and had NO ONE else around. Plus, we had more options for landscapes. I honestly have never seen anything like the rock at this location. It looked like we were on the moon with a cool overlook over the hill.

We spent a good amount of time working around that rock because I was obsessed. Then we moved on to the woods and creek area. Jaime loves the look of the dead woods in the winter. It’s brings a cool neutral look to it all. The creek area was gorgeous as well and I felt so inspired through the entire session.

The Wedding

These two are getting married THIS WEEK! I can’t wait to share the entire weekend on here. So, be sure to visit back in the next couple of weeks to see it! With Jaime’s cool boho and edgy style mixed with Joe’s Country and Cowboy style, this wedding will be so unique. The theme is Western Boho and I can say they are going to NAIL it.
