I have to say, my first time visiting Berry College in Rome, Georgia was inspiring and successful. Chase + Jessica decided to have their wedding at Chase’s alma mater, Berry College. Jessica’s vision for her Berry College wedding was a fairytale and Berry DELIVERED. Their reception hall looks like a castle and the beautiful stonework really set the background of the day. Plus, Jessica added little pops of Disney throughout the day. See if you can find them as you scroll through the photos!
Like most couples in our generation, Jessica and Chase met online. They had their first date at a local taco joint and ended up sitting there for 5 HOURS talking to each other. I’d say that’s a good indication of how these two fit together so perfectly. They bonded over their love for finding new places to explore but also staying in and watching movies (um, hello SAP Perfect Couple!!!). Their engagement session fit that perfectly for them.
Jessica and her girls started their day getting ready at the coolest hotel in Rome, Georgia. It was my first time ever visiting the Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham and I loved the character of the hotel. It’s not often you see unique stays like this place. They got their hair and make-up done there before Jessica got in her wedding dress at Frost Chapel at Berry College.
Chase was already at Frost Chapel. So, we utilize the amazing doors and stonework at Frost Chapel and went ahead and took portraits of Chase and his groomsmen while Jessica and her girls finished their make up and worked their way over to the venue. You’ll notice he had a very GREEN groomsmen crash his wedding.
After we hid Chase in the groom’s suite area, Jessica got in her dress and it was time for a first look with her dad. Her first look with her dad was so sweet and special. Then, we captured the bridal and bridesmaid portraits. She chose a classic black dress for her bridesmaids (LOVE!) and white flowers. I loved the classic and timeless look and feel of her wedding day. Her colors were black, white, and green. It was a perfect look! So. her bridesmaids accompanied Jessica around during portraits and we walked around Frost Chapel to capture plenty of great photos. Once Jessica’s portraits were finished, it was time to get ready for the ceremony.
As their friends and family gathered in Frost Chapel, Chase and Jessica couldn’t wait to see each other and say their vows. Everyone got their seats and they had a beautiful ceremony filled with God and love. Jessica’s dad walked her down the aisle and you could feel the emotion of happiness from their family and guests. You could see the love they have for each other (and Jessica’s cats) through the entire day. The sealed it with a kiss… and then snagged one more as they walked back down the aisle. *Side note – these always create amazing photos with your guests in the background.*
After the Ceremony, it was time for family portraits, wedding party photos, and bride + groom portraits. We stopped by Swan lake for some extra bride and groom portraits and then it was time for the reception at Ford Dining Hall.
Jessica + Chase were introduced to their guests as the new Mr. & Mrs. Kulczak. Their first dance followed the introduction along with the father-daughter dance and the mother-son dance. Then it was time for dinner! After dinner, they cut the cake and had their toasts. Then the dancing started.
Since they had a 1:00 ceremony, their reception ended at 5pm. For a December wedding, that’s a perfect end time because it’s right before sunset. We were able to get a few extra portraits during this time and some incredible photos with their getaway car.
Their exit my have been one of my favorites ever. They got a T-MODEL for the getaway car. It was the perfect touch to their classic and timeless wedding. Plus, instead of sparklers, these two decided to have snow thrown on them. Another perfect touch for a fairytale theme. However, if you’ve ever lived in Georgia, you know it’s very uncommon for snow. So, between the two of them and their wedding planner, they came up with the GENIUS idea to use coconut flakes for the snow. And, it was perfect.
If their wedding day is any indication of their marriage, I think it’s going to be a very happy life for these two.
