Mr. & Mrs. Rowell | Del’avant Event Center Wedding

Meet Lindsey & Russell:

Lindsey and Russell met a few years ago while they were out with some mutual friends. They started talking and immediately sparks started to fly. After getting to know each other and dating for a while, Russell popped the question while they were vacationing in their cabin on Lake Wedowee in Alabama. Lindsey is a teacher and lover of all animals. Russell plays the drums in his own band and enjoys craft beer.

Their Wedding Day:

When I first met with Lindsey, I was thrilled that she wanted me to be responsible for her wedding photography in LaGrange, GA at the gorgeous Del’avant Event Center. I felt drawn to her warm personality and simple yet elevated style–ideal for an elegant Georgia wedding! I knew this was going to be a great match.

The wedding day was absolutely perfect. Everything went smoothly and I was very impressed by their strong support system. Family and friends alike were overjoyed for the happy couple!

The bride and groom decided to do a first look and it was amazing! The second their eyes met it instantly calmed their nerves, and you could clearly see their mutual happiness and devotion in their faces. After the first look, we were able to get through the posed wedding photography flawlessly and had plenty of downtime before the ceremony so they could enjoy themselves…and the champagne!

The ceremony suited them perfectly and their officiant truly tailored every element to match this couple’s style. Sweet, simple, and a minute to breathe before they got started! Let’s be honest, saying your vows and expressing your innermost feelings for your bride or groom in front of a group of people can be pretty nerve-racking, but he really made things mellow and easy for them.

After the ceremony, we got a few Mr and Mrs photos for their album and went right back to the Del’avant Event Center to enjoy the reception…including food and beer! They had Moe’s Southwest Grill cater, which was awesome because who doesn’t love tacos?! Their first dance was to an Elvis Presley song and they looked stunning out there on the dance floor, so visibly enamored. Once everyone had finished their food, that’s when the dancing music came on. It was so much fun to see Lindsey and her friends getting out there and having a good time together.

After cutting the cake and tossing the garter and bouquet, it was time for their grand sparkler exit. The shimmering lights were so pretty and festive, making for a magical end to the evening. From there, they left the venue and went on to visit a local beer brewery, Wild Leap Brewery, and spent the rest of the night celebrating with all of their friends.

The Honeymoon:

Now, the lucky couple is off to the island of Cozumel off the coast of Mexico for their honeymoon. As much as I wish I could have been squished in their suitcase, I know they are having a great time celebrating their new marriage!
