The Allards – Newnan, Georgia

Meet the Allards

Megan and Dustin met in 2014, at a local college in their hometown of Lake Worth, Florida.  Dustin was head over heels when he heard Meg sing and play guitar for the first time. Since then, they have been writing their story together, celebrating a beautiful series of vignettes, captured and shared with one another.

I captured the Wheeler Allard wedding in September at the Cotton Warehouse in Monroe, GA (you can see the magic for yourself here), and I am so excited to see how this SAPPY couple grows together.

This shoot was to share an important piece of their journey– to show their friends and family the place that they get to call home,  and I am so excited to share in telling their story by celebrating this big milestone with them.

During this shoot, I knew I wanted to pay homage to that initial feeling of love at first sight, so we decided to recreate that moment with some intimate and light-hearted shots of Meg with her ukelele.  See how he looks at her? Too cute.

Family and tradition are very important to Dustin and Meg, and their Italian heritage is such a big part of the life that they share together.  I was so excited to see a bit of this magic as the two recreated their family’s recipe for zeppole in the heart of their new home.

This couple really knows how to work as a team, and accomplish big things together.  From expanding their family with the addition of their Wheaten Terrier, Leela– to moving out of state together and into their first home– they really bring out the best in one another.  It has been a joy getting to know them, and I can’t wait to see what is next for this duo.

And now, the moment you have all been waiting for!  I have been teasing a surprise for a while now online, and I am so excited to finally share something really special with everyone.

This video shares a little bit of a behind the scenes of this shoot!  I am so excited to finally be able to tell you all how much storytelling means to me, and show you a piece of how it all happens.

SAPPY fun fact:  The song used in the video is written and performed by Meg for Dustin!  How sweet is that?
